Center for political education
The need for opening of this center we have considered through:
- Lower level of participation of the women in the governance;
- Elimination of the political discrimination against women.
Target groups :
The target groups are: women and young girls from the NGOs, members of the political parties and individuals who have affinities to become active political subjects regardless of their ethnic, national and cultural background.
The center for political education offers:
- New essential knowledge for political philosophy, history and law, education to learn about the social principles that determines their future, to gain skills to make an influence on the social processes, to make decisions for their live in the society that offers equal opportunities for all;
- Essential political education for youth and for all interested candidates for this sphere of the social live and their skillfulness about the political processes and governance;
- Information of young people about all kinds of political action and political fight, capacity building, personnel with different skills, ability for good speech, views, ideas, contacts with the medias, leadership skills, public advocacy, coalition etc.
Activities and programs:
For accomplishment of its goals, the center for political education organizes:
• seminars, training workshops and debates on certain topics;
• surveys, own publication of manuals and books;
• forming of special library for political education;
• cooperation with different institutions that treat the problem of political education among which are the Caucus of the Women' MPs in the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia, the Unit for gender equality within the Ministry for Labor and Social policy, the Institute for sociological and political legislative surveys and independent scientists and methodologists;
• public debates and discussions on certain political issues related with the women;
• advisory and consultative role;
• international cooperation and information;
• Multimedia educational programs.
Experts' team:
- 10 field educators around 10 towns in Macedonia;
- Experts' team of 5 University professors who give the expertise advices in the Caucus of the Women' MPs in the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia;
- Independent scientists and methodologists.
