Multiethnic language school
Multiethnic language school is formed in the year 2002 in the frame of the Women's Center – UWOM, and its vision and mission are: tolerance, dialogue and promotion of different cultural values of the ethnic communities that live in Macedonia.
The purpose of the program's activities is:
Overcoming of the language barriers among the different ethnicities;
Raising awareness for the different values and securing of them;
Recognition and acceptance of the mutual similarities and differences.
The program of the multiethnic language school is focused on learning of the following languages:
- Albanian- beginner and mediary course;
- Turkish- beginner and mediary course;
- English- beginner and mediary course;
- Macedonian- for citizens of the Republic of Macedonia and foreigners.
The duration of the courses is three months for each level.
The process of enrollment of new candidates is done at the beginning of the school year, i.e. through the advertisement in the daily newspapers in September. During these three years, the courses were visited over 80 candidates from different national, educational, age and gender structure.
The biggest number of candidates is: pupils, students, employees in the public administration, health services, education, jurisdiction etc.
The multiethnic language school is a project that we realize with own resources and sustainability. |
