European Partnership for Activities that Include People with Risk of Marginalization

Project objectives: to develop cooperation and exchange of experiences for educators, for the creative activity of people at risk of exclusion: senior citizens, the disabled and addicts; leveraging and expanding the professional qualifications of those working with the disabled, elderly and dependent; acquiring new skills and improving existing psychological, interpersonal and methodological ones necessary for the work with mentees; dissemination of modern art therapy methods of work among staff working with people at risk of marginalization and people working for these communities; more opportunities for personal development of educators participating in the project, raising self-esteem and reduce the risk of burnout.

Participating in the project are non-governmental organizations from Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Austria and Macedonia.

The project will be implemented from October 2015 until September 2017.

The project is financed by the Erasmus Plus Program of the European Union.

Strengthening the role of women in combating gender based violence, discrimination and post-conflict democratic transition

The project "Strengthening the role of women in combating gender based violence, discrimination and post-conflict democratic transition" is implemented in Macedonia and Croatia by the women's NGOs: National Council for Gender Equality from Skopje and Centre for Women Victims of War - ROSA from Zagreb.

The project is financed by the program for development cooperation 2015 of the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia. The main objective of the program is to contribute to the strengthening of Croatian NGOs to implement projects for development cooperation. The second important goal is to contribute to the creation and strengthening of partnerships between Croatian and foreign partner CSOs.

Expected results:

1. Increased capacities of women's CSOs for networking, connection and implementation of programs/projects for international development cooperation, post-conflict democratic transition and providing assistance and support to women victims of gender-based violence and discrimination.

2. Promoting cooperation between CSOs, policy makers and institutions working in the field of violence and post-conflict democratic transition.

3. Increased visibility of the problem of gender-based violence and the priorities of the Croatian development cooperation.

Duration of the project: 24 months (2015-2016)


Coordinated efforts - Toward new European standards in protection of women from gender based violence

Project objective: Contribution to the establishment of comprehensive legal and policy solutions for protection against gender-based violence in the Western Balkans, as conditions for the realisation of democracy, human rights, social inclusion and harmonisation with EU values. Specific objective is increasing capacities of women's organisations and networks in 4 Western Balkan (WB) countries for analyses, monitoring and advocacy in the field of protection of women from gender based violence, through long-term regional cooperation and learning from EU experience.

Integrating framework for partnership action is the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence (CM (2011) 49 final, 7 April 2011).

Expected results:

1. Developed knowledge and skills of women’s CSOs for active participation in public dialogue and impact on decision makers in the field of protection from GBV.

2. Established dialogue between women’s organisations/networks and decision makers on harmonisation of national laws and measures for GBV victims protection with the CoE Convention.

3. Strengthened capacities of local women’s organisations for representing the rights of beneficiaries and monitoring measures of protection from GBV and social inclusion at the local level.

4. Established system for comprehensive monitoring of implementation of legal and policy solutions related to CoE Convention, by women’s CSO networks.

Duration of the project: 24 months (2015/2016)
